July 6 and 7 - Meteor Crater RV Park

We drove about 6 hours today and found this 'super' nice park - Meteor Crater RV Park. It is along Highway 40 in the middle of Arizona - around all the meteor signs - petrified forrest signs - weird looking dinosaurs on the side of the highway and near Winslow, Arizona.... you know the area....

The RV park is sooooooo nice. Great Owners - Great Sunsets - down the road from a giant meteor hole, near the petrified forrest and painted desert.   We stayed an extra nite to enjoy the surroundings...
It was the first nite sunsets that really kept us there 2 nites.

Sing along.....you know the words

We visited the large meteor hole in the desert

The hole is huge - look at the people in the lower right hand side of the pic

The petrified forest in the middle of Arizona desert was interesting.....

You will have to go to find out how that all came about.

Our pictures don't do justice to the painted desert

Spectacular colors
