2012 JAN-FEB PROJECTS

 

January and February 2012 has seen extremely mild temps in North Texas. We chased Annie up and down the street.  Annie also went to her first super bowl party (dig the converse) !  

And grandma made chocolate cake one weekend, which was a BIG hit !

Several weekends we brought the RV over (much to the chagrin of the HOA) and started some improvements which we wanted before our trip out west later in the spring.

I was surprised that it would fit on the driveway, and we could still enter and exit the garage.

The layout of the camper’s living room made it seem like we were always straining our necks to see the TV or have a conversation when one or more couples were inside. Here is a before picture of the original couch and dinette set. The TV was built-in to the wall at the end of the couch.

After removing the couch and ½ of the dinette, it is more open, seemingly gives us more room to lounge J

Across from the new ‘lounge area’ we swapped out a couple of lazy boys for a love seat –sleeper.

Lastly we wanted to replace the old 25” SD TV which came with the trailer with a 32” flat screen.

You might be able to tell we replaced the old DVD-entertainment center this past year because it ‘bit the dust’. We still have some custom work to do in the TV area, but it shouldn’t interfere with its use J

So with surround-sound, a better picture and more comfortable seating, life on the road, will be a bit more pleasurable.
